Eating and Talking

Hi All,

Not much has changed.  Still no seizures.  The doctors explained that it is typical for this to happen.  The majority of grid patients have a longer window than just a week between the two surgeries with most around the two week span.  So, Wednesday won't be the second surgery.  We will be here longer than originally planned.  That's okay though.  It's not about meeting a specific timeline, it's about making sure that the doctors have the data they need to make the right decisions.

I want to say a quick thank you to Beth for the really delicious food that you dropped off.  I am sorry that I missed you.  I needed to get out in the sunshine and exercise.  Megan needed the company and she is very grateful that she got to spend time with you.

When my parents arrived Meara was more awake.  Her lunch was delivered and she and Ainsley sat in bed and shared her food.  I captured some video of Meara sitting up in bed and talking.  Huge breakthrough.  She quickly got tired and she's been pretty much drifting between awake and sleeping the rest of the day.

A special thank you to Meara's preschool teachers for the balloon, book, and bear that was delivered today.  Ms. Lisa, Ms. Laura, Ms. Peggy, Ms. Pat, and Ms. Sheila are such wonderful, talented individuals.  Meara LOVES school.  She can't wait to go back.  We are very fortunate for our elementary school and their preschool program.  The teachers love their kids.

Below are some pictures and some video of Meara being more awake and active today.  We are hoping for more of that tomorrow.

Peace and Love,
Aaron & Megan
