Good Day

Hi All,

We had a good day today.  No seizures but Meara has been out of bed most of the day.  She's had an awesome appetite and is coloring, and talking, and laughing.  Big big difference.

We are hoping that since she was up most of the day and her normal self that we'll get some seizure activity tonight while she is sleeping.

This post will be pretty short.  We are just enjoying our little one and battling the sleep deprivation.  Meara has been getting up in the middle of the night for her mac and cheese and movies so sleep happens in short segments around here.

A big thank you to Hannah for coming by to visit today!  Hannah watches the girls for us and Meara was so happy to see her.  So was Ainsley.  It was nice having an extra set of hands around today.  Thanks for thinking of us Hannah and for taking the time to make the long drive.  Hannah illustrated the castle below.  She is extremely talented.  Anyone out there need a children's book illustrator?

Dave and Chris came to visit again today.  Thanks guys!  And wow what a super delicious dinner!

Thank you Parker and Olive for the princess activities and for the movie!  Meara is already enjoying them.   Thanks for thinking of us!

My Dad is heading home tomorrow.  Ainsley is going to freak out I bet.  The two of them are best buds.  My Mom heads home on Friday.  They both did such a great job taking care of the babe for us while we are here.   We can't thank them enough.

I included some more photos and video below.  Still in a holding pattern.  Thanks for the prayers and good wishes.  Kind of living in the moment for right now.  Trying to do less striving and more arriving.

Peace and Love,
Aaron & Megan

  1. It is great to see Meara standing standing by her bed and smiling. Love the dress and slippers! I know you are so thankful to see her acting like her normal self. Just to let you know who I am, I'm a friend of your Mom's, Aaron. My daughter, JoAnna Rivers Pearson has been good friends with Lydia since they were about 8 or 9 yrs. old. We used to live next door to your Aunt Alida in Hendersonville. I'm so thankful that you have such great support from family and friends as it makes all the difference in the world. JoAnna went through many trials with her health and hospitalizations while growing up so I know how hard it is with a sick child. It often felt like we were living in a different dimension when at the hospital for long stays. Praying for Meara and all of your family as you walk out this journey. You will probably have people say, "I don't know how you do it" and the answer is by God's grace, one moment at a time. Prayers continuing your way.
